Does your group have a GSR?

A GSR is a General Service Representative for your A.A. group

Why does your group need a GSR?
  • Represents the voice of your A.A. group
  • Keeps your group informed about what’s going on in your district
  • Ensures your A.A. group is represented at every level of A.A.
What does a GSR do?
  • Attends District Meetings once a month
  • Votes on District matters as the voice of the group
Electing a GSR

Groups are encouraged to elect a GSR and alternate GSR.
A.A. Central Service recommends 2 years sobriety, but if no one in the group is willing and able meets the recommendation, the group can vote to place someone in the position that does not meet the specification.
